Perforated metal decorative product
Advantages and application of decorative products made of perforated sheets
The scope of application of this material is expanding every day. This is due to the huge list of its advantages:
- long service life. Most types of perforated sheet are resistant to corrosion, able to withstand the effects of aggressive environmental factors without compromising technical characteristics and appearance;
- light weight, including due to the presence of through holes. Due to this, when performing construction works using a perforated sheet, the use of powerful and expensive load-bearing structures is not required;
- high mechanical strength;
- exceptional ease of processing. The perforated sheet is easily cut, bends, so elements of any configuration can be made from it;
- variety of textures and excellent decorative qualities. Perforated sheets of various shapes, sizes and with different hole arrangements are available. On an individual order, the products are painted in any color by applying a powder coating. It is not surprising that perforated steel sheet has become a favorite material of designers and architects;
- excellent sound insulation properties;
- due to the relatively low cost of manufacturing perforated sheets, the price for them is more affordable than for many other materials with similar properties.
All of these advantages, as well as some that we have not mentioned yet (excellent anti-slip properties, light and air permeability, the ability to delay electromagnetic radiation), determine the truly immense scope of application of perforated sheets.
We will list only the main industries in which this unique material is in the greatest demand.
- Construction and architecture. The first places in the list of perforated sheet products are occupied by facade elements, including noise-insulating and windproof panels, protective screens for windows, enclosing structures for staircases and balconies.
- Interior design. Perforated sheet is appreciated by designers for its decorative qualities. It is used to make various interior decor elements, suspended ceilings, radiator screens, wall panels, internal partitions.
- Manufacture of furniture, warehouse and exhibition equipment. Benches and chairs, racks and shelves, exhibition stands, showcases, partitions, elements of advertising structures made of perforated metal sheet have long become familiar to us.
- Ventilation and air conditioning.
- Landscaping of streets and public spaces. Various urns, benches, transport stops, advertising signs, showcases, etc. are often made of perforated sheet.
- Agriculture. Here, for example, special punching sieves and sieves are made from perforated sheets for sifting wheat or coffee grains, and when growing mushrooms (oyster mushrooms and champignons), drains from moistened straw should be diverted through a pit with walls of stainless perforated sheets.
- Food, chemical, nuclear industry. For example, special baking trays, water shields for boilers, deaeration columns for power units, casings, conveyor belts, air vents and much more are made of perforated sheet.
